Lasting Powers of Attorney

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is one of the most important legal documents you can put in place during your lifetime. It allows you to appoint trusted individuals to make decisions on your behalf should you become unable to do so yourself due to illness, injury, or loss of mental capacity.

There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney:

Property and Financial Affairs LPA

Allows your chosen attorney(s) to manage matters such as:

Health and Welfare LPA

Allows your chosen attorney(s) to make decisions relating to:

✓ Medical treatment and care

✓ Life-sustaining treatment decisions (if authorised)
